Yamaha selects QuestaWeb for US Import Management
Yamaha Corporation of America, a provider of consumer electronic products and
musical instruments, has selected QuestaWeb’s ImporterQW system to
ensure US Customs compliance and to accelerate product shipments to customers.
Implementation will include integration with SAP/R3 and Oracle 11i.
"QuestaWeb’s QW Importer solution will allow our company to have more visibility and control over our US import operations," said Walter Wood, Vice-President of Operations at Yamaha. "QuestaWeb’s software will help us improve our business processes, as well as keep us in compliance with the ever changing Customs rules and regulations."
Headquartered in Buena Park, California, Yamaha Corporation of America is a wholly owned subsidiary of Yamaha Corporation located in Japan. Yamaha Corporation is one of the world's leading providers of consumer electronics and premier musical instruments. It has an extensive network of dealers, to whom it ships both finished goods as well as replacement parts. In anticipation of the implementation of SAP at Yamaha Corporation in Japan, Yamaha Corporation of America selected QuestaWeb as the provider of the comprehensive regulatory and import compliance system as the company finalizes its preparations for the interface and processing changes.
