International Logistics Provider Projects Major Productivity Gains Using TradeMasterQW
Westfield, New Jersey, U.S. – July 31, 2007 – QuestaWeb, Inc., a premier provider of Web-based integrated trade and logistics management solutions, today announced the successful implementation of its TradeMasterQW software at Scarbrough International, Ltd., a full-service, international, third-party logistics provider. The QuestaWeb system integrates Scarbrough’s headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri with operating sites in Chicago, St. Louis and Milwaukee. The system also gives Scarbrough’s worldwide customers direct Internet access to real-time shipment status information. Shipment visibility from point of origin to destination is a hallmark of the QuestaWeb TradeMasterQW technology.
Scarbrough went live on January 1, 2007 following an implementation effort that spanned two months’ time. The project encompassed not only software installation and integration but also specialized management report programming and training. Scarbrough elected to implement almost the full complement of TradeMasterQW modules to meet the diverse needs of its many customers. The firm concurrently replaced its hardware architecture, instituted its own employee training program in anticipation of a major staff expansion and developed a procedures manual for entering transactions using the QuestaWeb system.

QuestaWeb’s software is written in C# and .net; it is compatible with both SQL and Oracle database systems. Customers purchase the software and install it behind their own firewall. A new product offering—the QW Integration and Communication Module—enables firms to perform backend integrations in house, offering an opportunity to reduce implementation costs.
