The ability of XML to express most kinds of data structures and transfer them
over the Internet makes it the “format of choice” to represent sophisticated
(typical import and export type) structured documents.
The engine generates and distributes documents in the XML format. All documents
can be printed, pre-viewed, PDF-ed, e-mailed, faxed, or just stored either locally
or remotely. No proprietary software is necessary, even on the client side.
